Privacy policy

This policy explains how RAMS Hailing (“RAMS”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit our website, join a launch list, contact support, or use the RAMS passenger or driver applications.

Information we may collect

Depending on the service you use, this may include your name, contact details, account credentials, profile photograph, identity and driver onboarding documents, vehicle information, precise and approximate location, pickup and destination, trip history, device and diagnostic information, support communications, safety reports and payment-related transaction references. Card details are intended to be handled by authorized payment providers rather than stored directly by RAMS.

Why we use it

We use information to create and protect accounts, provide and price requested trips, connect passengers and eligible drivers, process payments, offer support, investigate incidents, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations and improve reliability. Where required, we rely on consent; otherwise processing may be necessary to perform a contract, meet a legal duty or pursue a legitimate business interest consistent with your rights.

Location information

Passenger location is used to set pickup and destination points and support active trips. Driver location may be processed while the driver is online or completing a trip so that nearby requests, navigation and trip progress can function. Device permission settings can limit access, although some service features may then stop working.

Sharing

We may share limited trip information between the passenger and assigned driver. We may also use vetted providers for cloud hosting, mapping, communications, payment processing, analytics, identity checks and customer support. Information may be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect users and the public.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal recordkeeping, disputes and safety. Retention periods differ by record type. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain about our handling of your information. Account deletion can be requested through our account deletion page.

Children

RAMS is not intended for children to create independent ride accounts. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child supplied personal information without appropriate authorization.
