Terms of service

These terms are an initial public-launch draft for RAMS Hailing. The final operator name, registration number, fare terms and payment-provider details must be inserted after company and regulatory registration and before accepting public bookings.

1. The service

RAMS provides technology intended to help passengers request transport from independently eligible drivers. Availability is not guaranteed and may depend on location, demand, connectivity, safety conditions and regulatory approval.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You may not misuse another person’s identity or account.

3. Trips and fares

The app will show an estimated fare before a request is confirmed. The final amount may reflect the completed trip and properly disclosed adjustments. Any cancellation charge must be shown or explained before it applies. Never arrange an off-platform payment to avoid safety or transaction records.

4. Passenger conduct

Passengers must treat drivers and vehicles respectfully, follow reasonable safety directions, comply with applicable law and avoid dangerous, abusive, discriminatory or fraudulent conduct.

5. Driver eligibility

Drivers may only use the service after RAMS has accepted the required identity, driving, vehicle, insurance and operating-licence evidence. Approval may be suspended when a required document expires or safety concerns arise.

6. Safety and emergencies

RAMS support is not an emergency service. In an immediate emergency, contact the South African Police Service or the appropriate emergency service. Report trip-related safety concerns to ramsservices@ramspty.co.za.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, protect safety, comply with law or enforce these terms. Users may request account deletion, subject to records we are legally required to retain.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as RAMS prepares for launch. Material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
