Safety at RAMS
Last updated: 9 August 2026
RAMS is being prepared around clear trip information, driver eligibility checks, responsive support and respectful conduct. These measures reduce risk but cannot remove it entirely.
Before a trip
Confirm that the driver, vehicle and registration shown in the app match the arriving vehicle. Do not enter a different vehicle. Drivers must not accept public trips until required documentation has been verified.
During a trip
Wear a seatbelt, avoid distracting the driver and follow the trip in the app. If something feels wrong, ask to stop in a safe public place and contact someone you trust.
Emergencies
RAMS is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, contact the South African Police Service on 10111 or emergency services on 112 from a mobile phone. Once safe, report the incident by WhatsApp or email ramsservices@ramspty.co.za.
Community standards
Violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, fraud, unsafe driving and weapons are not permitted. Safety reports may result in temporary account restriction while they are reviewed.
